The latest News from Salesian Mission works

Dear Friend of the Salesian Missions,
I am writing at this particularly difficult time where the whole world has been confronted by the COVID-19 pandemic. In Australia the repercussions have been felt with the closure of many businesses, services and other “lockdown” restrictions. I know that many of you and your families are facing difficult challenges in these times of uncertainty.

Unfortunately, for people in poorer countries without welfare benefits and medical services it is a much more serious matter. This is an urgent request to assist those most vulnerable and destitute; may I reach out to seek your financial support at this critical time. To our regular donors who are already contributing to these needs, I am very grateful.

Our Salesian Family worldwide is responding to the coronavirus emergency by assisting people in need with the distribution of food, basic necessities, hygienic-sanitary support, water supply and remote pastoral accompaniment.

Fr Artime, the Salesians Rector Major speaks of the importance of prayerfully asking God for the Holy Spirit to enable us to help the most vulnerable and our own family needs.

Wishing you every blessing,
Yours sincerely in St John Bosco,
Br Michael Lynch (Director)
